I came to know Jesus Domingo (Txomin) Ruiz De Gauna Matesanz in September 2010, when I was appointed as Chief Financial Officer for Italcementi Group in Spain. Txomin has been working for Financiera y Minera S.A. since 2005, covering different positions at local and country level in Finance and Administration area. In 2012 he took in charge the Accounting, Tax and Consolidation Manager position he successfully held till he left for a new professional challenge. During the 3 years period of my mandate he has reported directly to me.

Txomin has a wide professional experience in accounting, controlling and financial areas; his eclectic profile together with strong tenacity and target oriented behavior allowed him to go through multiple restructuring leading the changes, enhancing efficiencies and always assuring the activity continuity. The main projects he has dealt with recently have concerned the centralization of invoicing and accounts receivable department and the re-shaping of Tax and Consolidation department.

Txomin distinguishes himself by consistently managing all types of activities due to strong planning, organization and coordination skills. He is always able to clearly set priorities and evaluate workload ensuring that jobs are completed in a timely manner. Pragmatic attitude and problem solving capability make him successful also in complex situations. Self-confident, fully committed with his department objectives, he is always performing over the expectations, never relaying on the results achieved but finding continuously additional improvements to be realized.

He is very demanding with himself first and then with his team, but he never forgets to care about human aspects so that he is able to create a work environment of strong dedication and collaboration.
